Open House and Plant Sale Coming Up

Sandpoint Market

On Wednesdays we have been participating in the Sandpoint Farmer's Market.  The Sandpoint Market is located at Farmin Park in downtown Sandpoint.Wednesday Market is a smaller market than Saturdays.  We've been able to get a very nice spot for setup at this market so far this year as you can see.  Here are some pictures taken at the market yesterday.  All of our plants are labeled with information cards as you can see in these images.  included are pictures of the flowers, descriptions of the plants, ideal growing conditions, landscape uses, native range etc.

Its Market Time

May at the nursery and things are in full swing.  The greenhouse is quickly filling up with plants and more are on the way.  We have many species of native perennials in 3.5 inch pots.  Most of our selection are plants found locally in the Inland Northwest, many may be found in the mountains of Northern Idaho.   You'll find many of the lovely plants that grace the countryside in spring and summer with their blooms, including columbines, asters, blanketflower, geranium, fireweed, jacob's ladder, lupine and many many more.  There are many plants to attract butterflies and hummingbirds.

We are also offering a wide selection of native shrubs and some trees including Serviceberry, Spirea, Syringa, Ninebark, Ocean Spray, Mountain Lover, Chokecherry, Golden Currant, Red Flowering Currant, Wood's Rose, Water Birch and Rocky Mountain Maple.  Many of these plants feature blooms in spring, fruit in the fall and spectacular fall color.  All are hardy for Inland Northwest gardens.

May 8 was the opening day for the Kootenai County Farmer's Market and we joined some of the other hardy vendors and visitors to brave a cold spring day.  May 12 found us at the Wednesday Market in Sandpoint.  Since both of those days we've returned each week to each Market, Saturday in Hayden and Wednesday in Sandpoint.
